Mama Meet Up 3 - Body and Style Confidence

  • The Plough Harborne

Love for the Mama hosts its third Mama Meet Up with Warrior Woman Natalie Lee aka Style Me Sunday, the wonderful Pascale Banks aka Style Mum and the lovely Victoria Geneviève who is a full time Stylist.

Natalie will give us her take on fashion with a feeling, Natalie believes fashion and feeling are intrinsically linked. She uses fashion to portray how she is feeling or to change how she feels. Natalie will talk about why being confident with the body we have is so important, especially after becoming a mother and feeling positive towards ourselves. Natalie will tell us why she set up the Warrior Woman Project and of course motherhood to her two beautiful daughters who she refers to as 'ratbags.'

Pascale will talk about why she has a love of fashion but her day job is in finance (what now?). Even though she loves an expensive piece, she also loves a good bargain and shops on the high street often. Pascale will cover why a wardrobe detox is sometimes a good thing and what investments to go for when buying an expensive piece rather than wasting your money on something you won't wear again. Also this lovely lady will talk about what motherhood looks like with her gorgeous twin boys.

Victoria works closely with Pascale but she is a full time Stylist who has two children, Josh who is 13 and Lilly who is 3. Victoria's styling is not about finding that illusive 'perfect outfit' that will change our lives, she says in reality it is not just the outfit that we need to get right, we also need affirmation of who we are, and the confidence to love being that person. Victoria will talk about how you can find a look that really suits you, but also cover the psychological need to change your life through retail therapy.

Within the ticket price, you will get unlimited tea/coffee and you are more than welcome to bring your children, just note that there is limited space and there is no room for prams and buggies. However please don't let that put you off, the team at the Plough are so helpful and will lug anything you need up to the room. Come alone or with a friend - YOU CAN SIT WITH US!

Mama Meet Up 2 - How to make it work!

Love For The Mama hosts another Mama Meet Up with two wonderful guests. Our first guest is Steph Douglas who is the founder of Don't Buy Her Flowers, which creates thoughtful gift packages for anyone needing some TLC. Our second guest is Lauren Taylor, who is the co-founder along with her husband Mark of KoKoSo Premium Organic Coconut Oil for your baby's skin.

These two Mum Bosses have had quite different routes in making their business the success they are today. They impart their knowledge and experience of how they made it work, how they ran a business from home, what it's like to work with the Dragon's Den fashion tycoon Touker Suleyman and how they continue to grow their business as well as juggling being a parent.

Steph and Lauren want you to get the most out of this Mama Meet Up. So please email your questions to Love For The Mama as they want it to be driven by you and what you would like to know.

There will be free tea, coffee, pastries, a goodie bag and a chance to meet Steph and Lauren and have a chat with other mamas.

This event is open to baby in arms, on this occasion we don't have capacity for busy and moving toddlers. We apologise for any inconvenience. Please email me if you need to ask me anything

Love For The Mama hosts an evening mama meet up with the beautiful and award winning professional makeup artist Rebecca Frances. Rebecca is an award winning makeup artist based in the West Midlands with over 8 years experience, specialising in beauty and bridal makeup. Only 2 years in to her career, Rebecca was awarded Professional Beauty's National Young Makeup Artist of the Year in 2009, and since went on to win National Makeup Specialist of the Year 2011. Her most recent achievement was being named as the Best Wedding Makeup Artist in the UK by Destination Weddings magazine.

Before discovering her passion for all things bridal, Rebecca worked both nationally and internationally backstage at London Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, Miss Universe, Austria's Next Top Model and L'Oreal Colour Trophy. There will be a chance to discuss with Rebecca your skincare problems or questions, how to create good coverage when you have little time, what products to try and buy. There will also be free tea, coffee and snacks and leave with a little goodie bag.

Bring your makeup bag with you and possibly some products you already use, so you can swap tips and ideas with other mamas attending. If you are comfortable with doing so, come with no makeup as we will be starting off with the evening by applying a face mask!

You can visit Rebecca's site for more about her working background at or follow her at @rebeccafrancesmakeup.
